For Immediate Release: 2023 “I Am You” Free Screening tour
The Emmy Award-Winning Noube Productions latest documentary, “I Am You”, will host a free screening on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Massachusetts State House in the Gardner Auditorium.
“I am You” is a documentary that takes an objective look at diverse perspectives of immigration. This film looks at the immigration system from the viewpoint of a “Dreamer”, an “Angel Mom”, and first generation immigrant children. The motion picture features Carlito Weaver, Erick Hernandez & Agnes Gibboney. Carlito is a Brockton High Counselor who details the struggles of his father’s immigration status. Erick shares his story of coming to this country as an undocumented child seeking the American Dream, and Agnes chronicles her tragic story of loss and her concerns about how immigration policies contributed to her grief. The goal of the documentary is to educate and encourage empathy from all perspectives.
This documentary screening is sponsored by Senator Brendan Crighton and the Brockton Cultural Council.
Directors Noube Rateau and William Medero, along with many others featured in the film, will be on hand for the screening.
The doors will open at 12pm, screening will start promptly at 12:30pm, light refreshments will be provided.
